A record partnership by Tamim Iqbal and Shakib al Hasan help Bangladesh to beat West Indies by 48 runs on Sunday in the first ODI of a three-match series at the Guyana National Stadium.

After opting to bat first, Tamim made an unbeaten 130, the highest by a Bangladeshi in ODI’s against the West Indies, while Hasan hit 97 and made a second-wicket partnership of 207.
