The first Grand Slam Australian Open 2020 of the year, starting at Melbourne Park from 20 January, have increased the prize money by 13.6 per cent and now have a total prize money of 70 million Australian dollars (409 million USD, about three billion) 50 crores).

The men and women singles winner of the Australian Open will get the same amount of USD 41 lakh 20 thousand which is slightly more than the amount of last year but the players who lost in the opening round will get more benefit.

The player who gets out in the first round will get a sum of 90 thousand Australian dollars, which is 20 percent more than last year. The player who lost in the second round will get 21.9 percent more than last year i.e. one lakh 28 thousand dollars.

Tournament director Craig Tiele said that the prize money of each next round except the finalists has been increased by more than ten percent. “This year too, like every year, we have increased the prize money according to each round and we have also decided to reward players who are going out in the opening round in singles and doubles with a good amount of money,” he said.

Tille said, ‘We believe in increasing the prize money at every level of the game. We pave the way for practical careers in sports and feeding.
