Both the bowlers were reported for suspect bowling actions during their side’s opening game against the Netherlands in the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers.
Taskin is an effective fast bowler, while, Sunny is a left-arm spinner, who could play a crucial role for his side in the spin-friendly tracks of India.
According to an ICC media release: “The ICC is working with the Bangladesh cricket team management to confirm times for the independent testing of both bowlers at the ICC-accredited testing centre in Chennai. The ICC regulations state every reasonable effort shall be made for the Independent Assessment to be carried out and the Independent Assessment Report furnished within a period of 7 days from the date of receipt of the Match Officials’ Report.
However, both players are free to continue bowling until the results of testing are known, according to the release.
