England beat Bangladesh by 21 runs in the first one-day international to lead the three-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur in Dhaka on Friday.

Ben Stokes scored 101 of 100 balls to guide England 308-9 before debutant pace bowler Jake Ball grabbed 5-51 and leg-spinner Adil Rashid contributed 4-49 to help dismiss Bangladesh for visitors 288 in 47.5 overs.
