BPL Squads 2017

BPL franchisees will spend a staggering amount of TK173,700,000 behind their local and foreign players recruitment for the fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 Blockbluster tournament.

According to the accounts of the BPL governing council, Rangpur Riders and Comilla Victorians are the highest paid teams, who will spend the highest amount of TK 26,200,000 each to pay their local and overseas players.

Khulna Titans, Dhaka Dynamites and Rajshahi Kings closely followed the above teams who will disburse TK 25,400,000, TK 25,200,000 and TK 25,200,000 respectively.

Newly-entrant Sylhet Sixers are also spending TK 23,500,000 to form their team as strong and balance for the BPL-5.

Chittagong Vikings, who were determined to form their team to fight for championship, will expend TK 22,000,000, the lowest amount among the BPL franchisees.

All the seven franchise teams have completed players recruiting formalities during the auction for the shortest version of the cricket with Rajshahi Kings picked up national sensation and cutter master Mustafizur Rahman in the squad in addition to another icon player cum Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim.

A total of 348 players which included 208 foreign players, were enlisted in the BPL players’ draft. England formed the largest contingent of foreign players with 62 players. Pakistan had 46 players and there were 26 players from Sri Lanka
