Bangladesh will be hoping its long break from international cricket does not affect its performance when it begins the three-match One-Day International series against Afghanistan in Dhaka on Sunday (September 25).
The home side last played an international match during the ICC World Twenty20 in India in April this year and has played no ODIs since hosting Zimbabwe in November last year.
“The main focus is to win three ODIs against another national team. As you said, not playing for a long time, is a bit of an Achilles’ heel for us. That is what we are trying to get over, that uncertainty,” Hathurusingha said on Saturday.
